Country Drive Clarity

2020reflection inspiration journalling mindset Dec 07, 2020

If there's one thing I love about living in rural Alberta, it that inevitably, you'll need to take a country drive. For me this morning, my drive came at just the time I needed it.

I was "itchy" for some clarity on my 2020 and what to "do next." I know I talked on the latest episode of the Confidence Shift Podcast about learning to "sit in the success." I did - well for about four full days, and then the old "you better get going" crept in again.

This morning's country drive (and the conversation with one of my dearest friends) brought me back to earth.

I've recommitted to being quiet for December and to sit with what comes to me each day. I've also decided to return a few creative practices that help block out the world's loudness and create my peace.

I'll be drawing, writing, feeling, and, most importantly, listening.

I felt something that I loved feeling as I wrote Show Up Confident driving on my way back home. It's a feeling I can only describe as "rawness." I've learned it means I'm close to my Truth. Do you ever feel that?

Here's what I've learned:

The rawness of your feelings can be uncomfortable, but it's actually a divine nudge in the right direction.

I shall follow the direction.
