How I Ease Feelings Of Anxiety
Oct 02, 2020
As the release of πππ€π¬ ππ₯ πΎπ€π£πππππ£π© gets closer, I feel familiar feelings that used to be scary.β£
The heart racing unexpectedly. Is that anxiety or excitement?β£
The frantic feeling of not doing everything right. Is the perfectionism or preparedness?β£
The body jittering with too much adrenaline. Is that fear or gratitude?β£
β£
I teach others that how you feel is all a matter of perspective around the lessons you're learning.
β£
This anxious and unsettled feeling that used to be scary was from my days where validation and recognition ruled my action and self-worth. β£
β£
"If I didn't win, if I wasn't on the top, I wasn't 'good enough,'" ruled my thoughts.β£
β£
Lately, I've been reminded by my own teachings and a few of my Champions & Challengers - that this is not who I am anymore.β£
β£
These days purpose and service rule me. With those, only excitement, preparedness and gratitude reign. These three transform any feeling based in fear to one based in love.β£
β£
That's where I am right now - in love; with what I've created, what I've written, who I've rallied to support me, who pours into me and who I help in my one of a kind way I do it.β£
β£
If you've listened to my Episode 8 of the Confidence Shift Podcast, you'll know the exact feeling I'm leaning into, and when layered with love, it's a powerful force of good.β£
β£
I can't wait to see all the good that comes.
