How I Ease Feelings Of AnxietyOct 02, 2020
As the release of 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙐𝙥 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 gets closer, I feel familiar feelings that used to be scary.
The heart racing unexpectedly. Is that anxiety or excitement?
The frantic feeling of not doing everything right. Is the perfectionism or preparedness?
The body jittering with too much adrenaline. Is that fear or gratitude?
I teach others that how you feel is all a matter of perspective around the lessons you're learning.
This anxious and unsettled feeling that used to be scary was from my days where validation and recognition ruled my action and self-worth.
"If I didn't win, if I wasn't on the top, I wasn't 'good enough,'" ruled my thoughts.
Lately, I've been reminded by my own teachings and a few of my Champions & Challengers - that this is not who I am anymore.
These days purpose and service rule me. With those, only excitement, preparedness and gratitude reign. These three transform any feeling based in fear to one based in love.
That's where I am right now - in love; with what I've created, what I've written, who I've rallied to support me, who pours into me and who I help in my one of a kind way I do it.
